Hello. I am popping in here on a Sunday morning because I really want to keep this blog thing going this year. I didn't get as many opportunities to get here over the holidays. Despite all the circumstances this year, our holidays were still pretty great. I've already wrote about in my previous post so today I thought I would just check in because crazy, it's already January 17.
Time flies when you really are not doing much!

I started making bread like everyone else. I actually just mixed up this week's loaf. I have found a process that takes about 24 hours. I eat the most of the bread because yum, I love bread. I am working on the scoring. Sometimes I rush the process and that's when I really need to slow down. When I finally end up baking it, the house smell so delicious.
I made these roasted root veggies yesterday.
I am hoping the turmeric that got on my jeans will come out. I seasoned them with cinnamon too.
Next time, not so much cinnamon but otherwise they were really good and grounding.
I have read three books so far. Yes, I have been doing a lot of reading. I am reading a little bit in the morning, 30 minutes straight in the afternoon after walking the dogs and again before going to sleep.
I've also done quite well with establishing a cleaning routine.
I never thought I would like to clean something every day of the week but
I do like now not having to clean the whole house on Saturday morning.
It frees up the day for other things. Yesterday a nice five mile long walk on the trail.
Honestly, that is about it. Life is fairly routine this January. I'm not complaining.
I am hoping this week can be peaceful.
How are you friends?
