I am on a bit of journey. Changing some ways and thinking. I want to blog about a lot of things right now but I am not ready. The words are not there. I know the words will come though when they are good and ready.
It is summer here now. I've been starting my days with a visit to the garden coffee in hand. I end them most nights sitting outside just breathing in the fresh air. I don't want these days to end. This picture above I took yesterday. I just could not get enough of that light making even my sink so beautiful. By the way, I've started my second celery stalk. The first one has been slowly growing. I'm amazed. Oh, the possibilities.

I am tired again right now. I have been up since 5 so go figure. The girls are playing in a local soccer tournament this weekend. So proud of them. Two of our players sat the bench tonight for using some really foul language at last night's game. I am so glad for coaches who see things the way I see them. We won the game despite. Don't you just love that? Actually, I love when these things happen. All teaching opportunities.
There I go writing way more than I planned on. I really just wanted to post my sink picture.

Sunlight is an amazing thing! It's been about a week since we have had any. I am so missing it!
ReplyDeletei love that - learning to separate fact from feelings. i feel like i am starting to do that so much better with the kids. like, yes, sky is falling apart, but it's because he needs a sandwich, not because he needs discipline. that kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteglad you are enjoying things like sunlight on the sink, i still say your life is charmed :)
well, I say your cali life is pretty charmed too!
DeleteI love your sink picture...I could do dishes there all day. I don't have a window over my sink...it's on the wish list for our next home...someday.
ReplyDeletethere is a design flaw though with my kitchen windows - I can't reach them to open/close. I have to crawl up on the counter to do so : )
ReplyDeleteI love the light in that picture too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that the coach sat those girls. Life lessons are more important than any game.
Your sink pic is so lovely. So glad summer is here. Blessings, Tami
