go:

Brooklyn and I headed out to the trail - did our own little turkey trot. I went a bit longer feeling no rush to get back home. The day looks dismal but it wasn't raining (today is...) I couldn't help but be grateful just for that but really, thankful for a day with no pressures. We went to my sisters which is over the Narrows bridge. You can take a ferry or drive. If it is just me and the kids, I like the ferry. Hubbie likes to drive.

I had the responsibility for two dishes. You know me - I like to keep my things relatively healthy. Such pleasure picking thyme for my yard. Down by the street in the front yard - I have mostly herbs growing - lavender, oregano, thyme and rosemary. Now, if only I could keep cilantro, parsley and basil growing all year. Maybe indoors?

Brooklyn didn't get to go. Breaks my heart to leave her home but she doesn't travel well and well, really wasn't welcomed. I get it - no hard feelings! She would have drove everyone crazy. I prepped my things before we left and did the final steps there. The results below.

Not too many photos from the actual meal or at my sisters. We talked in the car about leaving all the phones and cameras in the van. While it is nice to capture the day sometimes it is better just to be fully present.

It is now 10am.
I am still in my pajamas.
The rain is really coming down.
I guess I will get myself another cup of coffee.

p.s. - this is what I wore.

  2. Cute outfit, cute you! Your day sounds relaxing. My basil is gone now, I guess it got too cold. I've been looking for a little plant to grow indoors, since I miss it already.
