go: the beach

20130810-IMG_7779 20130810-IMG_7790 20130810-IMG_7800 20130810-IMG_7803 20130810-IMG_7817 20130810-IMG_7820 Today is very much like summer. They say we may even reach close to 90 on Wednesday which seems rather warm for September. I'm thinking the only thing it's good for is ripening my tomatoes.

On our second day of camping we headed for the coast. So very typical for the Washington coast to be foggy much like it was here this morning. When I left - the sky was crystal clear. I looked up and wished for a moment that I wasn't already running late. I wanted just a few more minutes to look up at the starry sky and wonder in the amazement of it all.

When I look back at these pictures I recall that beach day. There was no schedule. No practices. No homework. No work. No stress to be heard of.  All of which have quickly invaded these fall days.

And, so while I am eagerly anticipating fall and all it's splendor perhaps there is something to be said for these days of summer.
