go: Sunday Brunch
Something was different about this last weekend. I have not put my finger on it quite yet. I came home on Friday (after going to IKEA even after work) determined to do my house blessing despite how tired I was. My house blessing refers to the weekly basic clean which generally takes about 10 minutes per room. Cleaning is essential for me along with clutter free. I am just that way and that is just the way it is.
Saturday included a baby shower which was in the next county and never mind, it was raining cats and dogs.
Sunday rolled around I just had it in me that I needed to get back to "going". Even though I was gone for most of Saturday and had a soccer game to go to that afternoon. I was in the mood for some exploring so I suggested brunch. It was just going to be Josh and his friend - my treat. Let's just say that one other ended up tagging along.
And, well, this is what I ate:
It was delicious. We went to a cafe on Capitol Hill in Seattle. If you ever come to visit, I highly recommend. Actually, I can't wait to go again.
So, I don't know how or why but this last weekend, I felt more like myself. The honeymoon of working full-time is definitely over. I miss my Fridays off. However, this weekend I got a glimpse of what it takes to make, go and grow again and it was nice.
