Can I be honest about something? One (of my many pet peeves) is having to click to keep reading a post. I'm not sure why that bugs me but it does. Perhaps I click enough all day long and I have exceeded my clicks by the end of the day. However, lately I can't seem to muster the energy or waste the energy copying and pasting tons of pictures into my blog posts. I did pretty good with this one but there are more over on flickr and it's really hard for me to choose my favorites.
That out of the way, I been gushing on these photos all week. We went to the cabin late last Thursday night. Josh, Tori, my mom, Brooklyn and me. Josh and I were just going to go out for a short hike Friday morning. I really thought we'd be back no later than 1pm. Well, I read the description of the hike incorrectly. What I thought was going to be a 3.1 mile hike turned into a 6.2 with a heck of a lot elevation gain along the way.
We saw a mountain goat! The views from the top...unbelievable. I could have stayed up there the rest of the day soaking it all in. Bummer was though, I was worried that mom and Tori were worried about us (especially Tori which she was). There's no cell reception at the top. We only saw 10 other hikers and we both remarked how quiet this trail was. A lot of my other hiking as been along the I-90 corridor which is a major mountain pass. There was no free way noise here.
I don't want to get all philosophical because I'm not sure I can explain it...I am in awe of these formations. There's something about being up there. It's amazing. Josh had to keep telling me to keep moving. I just wanted to stop and take it all in. We climbed until we could climb no more. It really did feel like we were on top of the world.
Wow wow wow....you look so happy.
