be:

I didn't see the theme coming.
I just wanted to take some pictures - with my real camera.
At first I went to the garden.  Earlier the light was too bright.  I deleted all those pictures.
Later the light was just right.

I woke up yesterday feeling a bit quiet.  Like I needed a day alone.
I didn't get that - turns out that everyone plus more were home.
I didn't go for my run/walk all day. I got into a cleaning frenzy instead.
It is not the same. When I finish here I am heading out first thing.

The day included a trip to a mall and out for pizza.
Two certain girls had babysitting money burning a whole in their pockets.
I really just wanted to spend the afternoon here reading.
The girls won.

This morning I told myself in just a few short weeks these days are all going to change.
There actually may be time to work on my summer sewing project.
And it will be quiet.

Today we are heading out - all of us to a small town named Snohomish.
We are going here for my husbands company picnic.
I have a hashtag on instragram that is where I live and what I live for.
I have a feeling any pictures taken today will fit that description.

Totally got away from where I thought this post was heading.
Maybe just to say that this living in the moment -
whatever the moment is whether loud, bright, quiet or peaceful
Is certainly the best way to live.

  1. I love Snohomish! My sister lives there, close to the Monroe side. And my SIL lives there too! I love driving there, it is heavenly, and makes me yearn for the country. When we camped a few weeks ago, we were at Flowing Lake, you guessed it.....also in Snohomish. Blessings!

  3. Living in the moment is a weakness of mine. I am always wanting to be somewhere else, or doing something else. I tend to be the anywhere but here girl.

I love that wicker table on your porch a few posts ago, sooooo cute. i love having 'non-weatherproof' furniture on my deck but we can't get away with it very often. I also have that book, Wild in my kindle but have not read it yet. is it good? i am looking forward to seeing your summer sewing project pictures :) I have been spending a lot of time in my sewing loft with the breezes blowing through on these hot days, so much fun.

  5. Living in the moment is where it's at because the moments are fleeting. Enjoy them when you can!

Moved Alison to college yesterday; living in her sorority house this year. Hard to believe it's year 2 already....fleeting moments.

Does this thing still work?

Wow.  There was so much dust on this blog, I needed two rags to clean it off. Hello blog, how are you?  I know it’s been a while and yes, ...
