It's delivery day. Please don't judge the Gorilla Munch

I think I just became a vegetarian
Thursdays are delivery day.  Along with our milk, fruits and veggies - I ordered the above items. Posted this on instagram with the caption - please don't judge the gorilla munch.  And, don't think this will feed my family for the next seven days.  Heck to the No way - there was a trip to Trader Joe's Wednesday night too.

I made this way delicious soup last night.  Honestly, I may have died and gone to food heaven.  The flavor was spectacular - amazing actually.  I made enough to freeze two jars worth - perfect for taking to work for lunch.  And, because I am on an instagram roll, the caption on this photo was - I think I just became a vegetarian.  Actually, I wasn't joking. I can't help but notice that meat prices have sky rocketed and I am kinda freaked out about a recent salmonella outbreak. We'll see where that goes but for now, I am having veggie pizza tonight.

I did want to mention two other things. I am taking Heather's Whole Food Kitchen Workshop. Actually, I was asked to write "My Kitchen Story" for one of the week's modules. I was extremely honored to do so. It's been just one week but I am feeling so inspired in the kitchen again. I am making veggie broth at this very moment.

Secondly, I finally purchased Julie's Seasoned Quarterly.  I have no idea how I found Julie but she is quite fun and I just love following her and McKenzie's farm adventures. Okay, maybe I am a bit jealous too.
It's a beautiful sunny afternoon here.  Still a bit chilly but I may just go sit outside for a few minutes. Brooklyn and I had a great morning at our nearby nature reserve. I'll post those pictures tomorrow. And, maybe just maybe I'll break out my Nikon again.

  1. That soup does look delicious. I would not judge about Gorilla Munch. At my house, it would be gone in two days. ;)
I really wanted to sign up for Heather's workshop again...maybe next time. I did the Vegan one, and even though I'm not Vegan, I really loved it. I have so many recipes that I use from it now. Have fun!

  5. Oh lord, I won't judge about the Gorilla Munch either, though I prefer the real crap like Honeycomb and (-gasp-) Cocoa Pebbles. I grew up eating that stuff and if I buy it I'll literally down two or three bowls in one sitting. I've taken to only treating myself to some Kashi honey heart cheerio thingies every once in a blue moon.

ps. Thanks for sharing my blog here. :)

Does this thing still work?

Wow.  There was so much dust on this blog, I needed two rags to clean it off. Hello blog, how are you?  I know it’s been a while and yes, ...
