Tori and I worked through the night getting these invitations done. Okay, really we stayed up until 10pm. It was a Friday night so I thought it might be okay. Typically she is fast asleep early on Friday nights exhausted from her week. And, the other two (big high schoolers now) are too cool to spend a Friday night home these days. We needed to get the invites done as my parents were back in town the next day.

So, I *designed* the cards and Tori helped do everything else. Her and I spend a good deal of time together now and well, it's really special. It's like I've been given a second opportunity with her. She was such an easy baby and being the third child and all she probably didn't get near the attention that the oldest may have. Not that he was spoiled or anything (he was).  Her sweet hands still make my heart melt. And, yes, she's a lefty - my only one.

We made around 50 invites. My mom tells me she has a few names to add to the list. Tori even made a spreadsheet so we can track who RSVPs.  My sister and I are making all the food.  We are not serving a meal but what's a party without food.  We are having a nice cake made - we are even going to a cake tasting later this month.  The girls are super excited about that. I still have the decorations to consider.

Fifty years of marriage is a big deal.  We will be married 19 years this September. This post about marriage (and parenting) is good. Marriage, kids - they change your life. Hard work too. But, I couldn't imagine life without either.

  2. Those invitations are adorable! And such nice writing! I know what you mean about getting to spend more time with the third child- I get a lot of time alone with my third now that the other 2 are teenagers. I am totally cherishing it.

Does this thing still work?

Wow.  There was so much dust on this blog, I needed two rags to clean it off. Hello blog, how are you?  I know it’s been a while and yes, ...
