make and go:

Earlier, heading out with some happy mail it's done! my favorite place to eat - in Burlington :) Tasha Tudor

Tori and I dropped by my mom and dad's today.  I had some stretching handouts for my dad that he had requested. I tried showing him how to do some stretching classes "on demand" but I knew he never would. I also knew he would never remember all the stretches I showed up when we were there last time. My mom was still in her night gown. It was 2 pm. She told me that she had just decided that she wasn't going to get dressed today. Nothing was wrong. She just had the freedom to do so. No where did she have to be. I was jealous.

While we were there we looked at some old photos.  Amy, if you are reading - there even ones of you! I saw pictures of my past with all my crazy hair-do's. There were plenty of pictures of the farm where I lived from age 5 to 17. I easily recalled the names of all my horses. The picture of the ducks happily walking through the backyard nearly brought me to tears.  All of it was exactly what I dream of now.

I also really wanted to show my mom the top I just finished sewing. I wore it to Tori's soccer game. It was covered up by a coat but still. I wanted to talk to my mom about Tasha Tudor but we got talking about the anniversary party instead. I just can't believe it but suddenly we have around 70 guest attending.

I should mention the drivers training. Today he drove on a road with a 40 mph speed limit for the first time. I can't describe the feeling sitting in the passenger seat. It's overwhelming.

I may have also picked up a new book from the library and this one I will pick up tomorrow.

  1. Tasha Tudor is such an inspiration to me. I've poured over those books.

I love that blouse, Denise. Loved how you lined it, too. So pretty and something I would love to wear.

  2. I love that Tasha Tudor book. I think I've checked it out from the library a least a dozen times. I really should try and find my own copy of it.
I think it's so sweet that you're planning such a great celebration for your Mom and Dad's anniversary. I hope that everyone has the best time at it.

  4. Darling, darling blouse. It is SO cute and I bet it's adorable on! I remember driving with Seth on a 2 lane road, 60mph, the whole family in the car, me in the back and Chris "coaching" from the passenger seat. I about came out of my SKIN! It was awful!!
