Is this sunshine amazing or what? I sensed it early morning yesterday - the return of light. The afternoon sun is my favorite although the morning sun has a way of greeting the day too. All winter (although, it didn't feel winterish here) I followed the sun when it came out taking note where it was in the sky and where it would shine inside. Most days it didn't shine at all and the forecast is for rain all next week. I don't care though as today is the present and I am enjoying every little bit of sunshine that comes my way.
Today is chick day and a certain girl is turning 15 tomorrow. My quiet home is about to explode between 12 baby chicks and six teenage girls. These are the days my friends and I am pretty sure they don't get much better.

My girl is turning 15 at the end of March (and my birthday is actually tommorrow). I just said to my husband, "We are really in the thick of it now. I am trying to enjoy every, crazy busy minute, because when we are not in the thick of it- they will be gone." So I agree- it doesn't get any better than this. Tell her happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm here, I meant to comment on your post about your Arizona friend taking the sunshine for granted. I'm in So. Cal and every other year we go to a lakehouse in WA. One year it was in July and it started raining. I said to my nephew (who has lived in the the PNW all his life) "Look it's raining!" I called all my kids to come and look at the rain. He just stood there staring at us, until I realized that he sees rain in the summer (and all other seasons) all the time. Rain in July is unheard of for us in CA. So, while we might take the sunshine for granted, you guys might take your rain for granted :)

DeleteI am not sure about taking the rain for granted because it is more than just the rain here - it is also just the day after day gray days. They can be really hard to get through. The rain though - it does keep everything super green which I do enjoy!!

Gorgeous pictures. I didn't know that our daughter's birthdays were so close to each other. We had a birthday party this weekend too, for my girl who is turning fourteen. : ) Happy Birthday to your daughter!

DeleteGrace was born on the 11th. We had a fun party this weekend, that I won't be able to blog about, because we couldn't invite everyone we wanted- and don't want to hurt any feelings.
