Sunday Stuff

These flowers have brought me so much  joy. I'm pretty certain I've had a bouquet on the island  most of the summer.  All from a little seed packet scattered in the ground months ago.

Today began the process of rebuilding my garden. I have high hopes for next year after this years scorcher. My dad brought me over a truckload of compost as I have been doing lots of reading on how to amend my soil.

I see some resemblance of my soil and my life. Some days feel kinda strange.  I'm rebuilding too. Yesterday I woke up just feeling happy. (and, I have some stuff in my life that is not so happy). Every day I'm making an effort to be steady no matter what others or the world throws at me. It appears my efforts are working.

It all somewhat exciting thinking about what's to come both for my garden and for me. This summer I was honestly only able to think about the day that was in front of me. I'm seeing a little further ahead now yet still living very much in the present.

Next week I'm going to Boston! Now that is something exciting to think about this week. It's been a while since I've traveled especially so far from home. I'm hoping to get back here one more time before I go. I'm excited yes but also tiny bit nervous too!
