The time, where does it go? Today was one of those days that it went nice and slow. All week I've been waiting for today to just stay home to clean and organize. Of course, my intentions were to get everything done in one day. I did pretty good except the bathrooms, I'll be cleaning them tomorrow.
Navigating my weeks is somewhat haphazard. There are two games a week right now after school and a work schedule that still finds me out the door so early and some days getting home much later than I would have anticipated. I needed today to just be home without a schedule and it was wonderful.
A couple of weeks ago I made myself this pretty crazy to-do list to do every afternoon. Gosh, that was silly. There are a few things that I have to do every afternoon (walk the dog, pick up Tori, make dinner, prep for the next day) what I really want to do is walk the dog, knit, read, garden and make a fabulous dinner!
Have you seen those charts in which you track all the hours like record what you did almost every second of the day? I don't need to track the work hours but I'm thinking the afternoon ones might be worth tracking for a week or so, see where the time goes. And, maybe just maybe I'll find some time for some knitting or reading and even make a fabulous dinner.
Write it in your heart that every day is the best day of the year.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
I've been thinking of tracking my time as well. It's so fleeting and I want to use it well. And to make sure there is time for reading, sewing, and knitting. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteFor awhile I used the ATracker app. It was frightening to see how much time was spent driving my teenagers around.
