go: Desmoines Beach Park

Last week was just a little bit crazy around here. We set a new record of 88 degrees on Thursday which is really not normal around here even in late June for that matter. With the weather and minimal after work commitments I felt like a ship without a rudder. I kinda liked it and I loved the weather.

This gorgeous park is just about 25 minutes from home. The girls and I made our way there Thursday afternoon. Next time I go - I'm taking a book and perhaps even some dinner. I would have liked to stay until sunset but with my work schedule I needed to get home and into bed at a decent hour.

It's rained all weekend - that's how it goes.
