Oh my goodness. I took 62 pictures on this hike.
I kept around 30. They are all my favorite so these are just a sampling.
Such a good hike. Thigh burner. Views. Sunshine. Fog and Snow.
Let's not forget one daughter that I am very proud of.
She may have got a mocha cookie crumble on the way home.
I sipped on an americano.
It had been quite a while since we have hiked.
I prompted the family I was going Friday night.
I spend a good hour or so doing the research.
I look for elevation gain (I like a good gain) and recent trip reports.
Then I think of safety as I was planning to go alone.
My first pick was a nearby hike that I knew would be populated so I technically wasn't alone.
When Tori surprised me Saturday morning saying that she would go - I changed the plan.
The snow - we were not prepared for but Brooklyn loved it.
We would have benefited from having hiking poles.
Lots of loose rocks. Lots. Thankfully no rolled ankles.
We made it though. Totally filled my cup.
Tonight while eating dinner - I read my hiking guide.
Already thinking about hiking next weekend.
p.s. - the remainder of the pictures are on flickr - click on any picture to be directed.
p.s.s. - totally unrelated - tonight I made cauliflower rice and it was delicious.
you're killing me here...that's it, I am officially moving to the pacific northwest! btw, you look so pretty and happy! and tori practically has light shining out of her, so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteshe really is so beautiful - and so is Tallie.
Deletejeez, where do they get it from?
Can I move in with y'all? Snow? Long sleeve? It's already triple digits here. I want to walk around nude all day. I wish I lived somewhere beautiful, rather than flat Dallas.
ReplyDeleteyes, you may move in - anytime. There will be a small fee like maybe daily dog walking but we will figure something out :)
Deleteoh, nudity is not allowed!!
now, keep in mind - we are on a mountain in these pictures - roughly 2400 feet. And, if you move here - bring lots of layers!!!
These pictures are beautiful. It looks like a fun hike. Thank you for sharing these. I hope to go hiking soon. I was just looking at a brochure for Crystal Mtn.
