be:
I've been quiet here this week. It's been hot and I don't do hot very well. And, it was just one of those weeks that I am ready to let go of and move on.
I did go to a naturopath this week. My appointment was for 1.5 hours and we talked and talked and talked. She made me feel so at ease that I told her things that surprised me. It was such a comfortbable trusting environment that I had never experienced before. I still need to go for blood work. She's testing me for quite a few things. However, even without the results, she suggested some dietary changes. I'm liking how I am feel.
I did go on my yearly solo hike last Sunday. I have pictures to share.
I find this time of year so challenging with my working and teenagers on the roam. With the heat too, it's hard to stay calm, cool and collected. I have the ideas in my head on how things should be instead of they way they are. Not everyone sees things my way and not everything goes according to my plan. This makes me realize how selfish I can be. Yuck!

I would love to see a naturopath...I KNOW they'd tell me to change my diet...yikes! I love how you say you "don't do hot very well"...neither do I my friend, neither do I.
ReplyDeleteAh. I've missed you. Was pleasantly surprised when your name popped up, somewhere along the way I lost track of your blog. I pass you on the streets in Pinterest. You and Michelle and I travel the same avenues it seems.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get back into blogging bit by bit, and visiting. Like you've said, busy times.
I've always wanted to go to a naturopath. Not that I visit a doctor much, but from a wellness point of view. I like the holistic approach. Right now I am sitting covered in plantain juice for a minorbout of poison ivy, everyone recommeded I go to the ER for steroids but I'm not so sure.
Regardless, looking forward to more visits.
P.S. I love the book lists. Nothing like a good book visit. I just finished Signature of All Things, and I read Woodswoman last year too.
